                         Rose Hill 10/1
1832 (for 1831) Kinloss 249/237
Rose Hill 20/0 (probably doubled for non-reporting)
1833 (for 1832) Kinloss 242/23_
                         Rose Hill 10/1

These numbers compare with those in his Returns of Slaves which he filed for Kinloss:
In 1817, Robert Haldane Scott reported he was joint owner with his brother Thomas Munro Munro of 195 slaves.  It should be noted that almost all his slaves had surnames, which was a rarity in those days, as most slaves had only a first name.  Among his slaves in 1817 were:
    Lilly Craig, African Negro 47
    Harriet Craig, African Negro 42
    Molly Craig, African Negro 37
Sarah Craig, creole Negro 22, daughter of Harriet
David Craig, creole Negro 20, son of Nanny

In 1820 he swore to a Return as owner of Kinloss (not joint-owner) where he had 247 slaves.  It was sworn to before George Ogilvy.

In 1823 and 1826 he filed Returns for 249 slaves, again before George Ogilvy.

In 1829 his Return was for 165 slaves.

In 1832 Charles Strachan filed a Return for 248 slaves at Kinloss as Attorney for Robert Haldane Scott.  (In the 1818 Almanac Charles Strachan owned 1 slave and 4 stock in Trelawny.  In the 1829 Almanac (for 1828) he was listed in St. Ann.)

In 1820 Robert Haldane Scott also filed Slave Returns for 15 other properties for which he was the Attorney, the Receiver, the Receiver in Chancery, (positions for which he would have received remuneration), and in trust for one estate.  In 1823 and 1826 he continued to report in similar roles.

Slave Returns had to be filed by September for Slaves held in June of that year.  I did not find a report for Dromilly or Rose Hill, unless they were held on behalf of other persons.

Notes for Eliza Wedderburn:
Her name as listed at her baptism, and according to her signature on the Slave registers, was Eliza.  When her children were baptized, her name in the Parish Registers was written as Elizabeth.

On her 1817 Return of Slaves owned in Trelawny, she had:
Rosey, African Negro aged 22, and her 2 Creole Negro daughters, Sarah aged 3, and Jeanie 1.
She swore to her Return  (signed "Eliza Wedderburn")  before Robert Scott, who was then a Magistrate.

On her 1820 Return of Slaves she added Bessy, a mulatto creole aged 27 years, who had been enrolled in 1817 by Margaret Thompson, executrix of the late Elizabeth Holmes of Trelawny, who had left Bessy to Eliza Wedderburn by her will.  Eliza once again swore to her Return before Robert Scott. (Bessy Holmes, aged 39 years, was buried in St. James on June 13, 1815. This was possibly Elizabeth Holmes.)

Eliza's next Return of Slaves was filed in 1826, when she reported the birth of Bessy's 2 children:
Robert Reid a creole mulatto aged 2, born August 26, 1823, and
Jane a creole quadroon (therefore fathered by a white man) aged 1/2 year, born Nov. 10, 1825.
Eliza then had 6 slaves, and once again swore to her Return before Robert Scott.

In the 1831 Almanac (for 1830) she was listed as the owner of 4 slaves.
In the 1832 Almanac (for 1831) the number was 8 (doubled because of non-reporting)
In the 1833 Almanac (for 1832) she was listed as the owner of 4 slaves.
She had not reported any slaves on a Tax Return prior to 1830.
