Henry has been attached to Frederick as his son, based upon the fact that there were no other Mortlocks in the Parish Registers for St. James, and his employment with the Customs Department.
His mother may also be Elizabeth Brown, Minnie's mother.
There were two other Mortlock boys baptized in Montego Bay in 1863 - 1868. Their parents were not identified, which was the standard procedure in the Parish Registers during this period if the parents were unmarried. The boys were Frank James Mortlock, born July 30, 1863, baptized December 30, 1863, and Alexander John Mortlock born February 13, 1868 and baptized December 30, 1868.
