WEAR PEN 1984
MANCHESTER, JAMAICA

These photographs were taken at Wear Pen in 1984.  They may be compared to a more recent photograph at Wear Pen House.

Commentary on the early owners of Wear Pen and Heavitree may be found at Heavitree.

The last residential owner of Wear Pen was Custos Thomas Anderson, whose wife was a Clark.  The property was sold to Ernest Clark, who cut the lumber and sold the property to Alcan in 1943.

Alcan mined the property, and may have raised cattle there for a while.  Later the house was looted, and hit by a hurricane.
