Fifty years ago, the Ironshore jetty would have stuck out from the shore in the middle of this picture. The Ironshore sugar factory was on the left. A cricket field on which my brother captained the Ironshore cricket team was on the right. Ironshore was a sugar estate, and sugar was a major crop in Jamaica.
