EMANCIPATION 1838, in the Spanish Town Square, Jamaica

There was a celebration in the square and crowds participated. Soldiers can be seen marching in formation on the far side of the square. The Rodney Memorial and other historical buildings in this drawing still stand in Spanish Town.
