Marriage Notes for Samuel Binger and Catherine O'Brien:

During this period the Marriage Register did not indicate whether the bride and groom were bachelor, spinster, or widowed.

This marriage was also found in the Original Clarendon Marriage Register in the Jamaica Archives in Spanish Town. Her name on the Register was Dirrene of Dirrenne. Someone had written "O'Brien" over this name with a ballpoint pen, and had written on the right of the entry "O'Brien." This was obviously a change made within recent memory, and is not the way to treat old registers.
