At Bath, upwards of seventy years of age, Mr. John Strachan, overseer of the King's Negroes there.

In this town, Mr. Henry Clarke, bookbinder, Mr. Jeremiah Hasley, Mr. Wm. Burrows, Mr. Robert Laing, Mous. Le Barre, a French Naval Officer, Mr. George Draper, Captain Thomas Tobin, of the brig Alert, Lieutenant George Canning, of the 10th regiment, and Mr. Philip Wilson.

Montego Bay, Aug 2 - At the Folly, Richard Samuells, Esq.

In Hanover, Mr. Henry Dray.

Falmouth, Aug 6 - The Rev. Mr. J. Stoney, Rector of this parish, an old and very respectable inhabitant; a man of the strictest integrity, and particularly just in the discharge of those duties committed to his care by friends whom he had survived.

St. Jago de la Vega, Aug 8 - Mr. Hugh Jones, a young lad of colour, died in this town the 30th last. His death was occasioned by the playful thoughtlessness of his juvenile acquaintances, who, while bathing, kept him so long under water, by way of ducking him, that he survived the immersion but a few days.

The following horses started on Thursday for the King's Purse, which was won by Chance, belonging to Mr. Davis:

Mr. R. Grier's brown mare Creeping Kate, by Pantaloon.

Mr. Davis's black mare Chance, by Goldfinder.

Mr. Sharp's bay gelding Premium, by Trimmer.

Mr. Calnan's bay gelding Young Shark, by Shark.

Mr. Wm. Grier's English horse Bumper.

Mr. Hunt's bay mare Yorkshire Lass, by Bellario.

All persons indebted to the estate of Patrick Campbell, late of the parish of St. Thomas in the East, Carpenter, deceased, are requested to pay the same: And all persons to whom the said estate is indebted, to render accounts of their respective demands to Dugald McDuffie, Administrator.
