PASSENGERS LEAVING THE ISLAND:

Dec 16 - Israel Munds, Kingston

DIED :

A white man named Boyd was found dead in his bed on Tuesday morning. An inquest was taken, and a verdict returned, that he "died by the visitation of God."

On Sunday last, much regretted, Lieut. William Hamill of the 10th Regiment; he was an honest man and a good soldier.

Early on Thursday morning, Mr. John Gourlie, a young gentleman whose filial, conjugal, and paternal affection, are worthy of imitation in the respective character of son, husband, and father.

Miss Ann Miles, only child of Mr. James Miles.

Montego Bay, Dec. 20 - On Wednesday last, Mr. William Ryan.

MISCELLANEOUS :

On Wednesday last was killed in this town, by Messrs. Burd and Stephenson, the fattest, largest, and best heifer ever known in this country. She was bred and fattened by J. Blagrove, Esq. St. Ann's, and weighed nine hundred and fifty six pounds.

Falmouth, Dec 24 - On Monday last John Hodges, Esq. of Maxfield, was elected at the Court House a Representative for this parish, in the room of the late Samuel Barrett, Esq.
