     Established at Healthshire (St Catherine) in the early part of the year 1870, where Lepers from all parts of the Island are received. The Institution is capable of accommodating sixty patients.

     It is in contemplation to have a Public Dispensary in every parish town, and a Parochial Hospital in each Medical District.
     By Law 29 of 1868 the Marine Hospitals of Falmouth and Montego Bay have been converted into Parochial Hospitals on condition that a ward or wards in them be set apart for the reception of sailors.
