Her maiden name was written Perennott on the baptism of one of her children, the only one recorded in a register that gave the maiden name.
A check of some Internet sites produced the name Perrenott in the following places in France: Haut-Rhin  in the east in Alsace near the German border, and  Saone-et-Loire  in east-central  France.
