Captain General and Governor in Chief in and over this his Majestys Island of Jamaica and other the Territories thereon depending in America Chancellor and Vice Admiral of the same year, Do hereby Certify and make known to all to whom these presents shall Come or may Concern That Thomas Hay Esquire who hath signed and attested the annexed instruments in Writing as True Docketts of their respective Originals is Secretary and Notary Publick of this his Majestys Island of Jamaica duly admitted and Sworn and that to all Acts and Instruments by him Signed and attested full faith and Creditt is and ought to be given in Judgement Court and without.

            In Testimony & Confirmation whereof I have hereunto Set my Hand and caused the Broad Seal of this Island to be appended at Kingston the Ninth day of October in the twenty Eighth year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord George the Second by the Grace of God of Great Britain France & Ireland King and of Jamaica Lord Defender of the Faith Year Annoque Domini one thousand Seven hundred and Fifty four.

King George the Second by Letters patent dated the 11 July 1735 granted unto Thomas Ball his heirs & Assigns for ever a certain parcell of land containing three hundred acres in the Parish of Portland in two parcells.  The first parcell containing two hundred and fifty acres binding Easterly on part of land patented by the Hon. Col. Edward Charleton. Southerly on waste. Westerly on a Spring & Northerly on Turtle Crawl Harbour & on the Sea Shore.  The second parcel containing fifty acres of land binding Easterly on White River. Southerly on a gully above the Head of White River. Westerly on James Passley Esq. & Northerly on a Rocky Shore and White River Bay.  Pursuant to an Act for encouraging White People to come over and become Settlers passed 12th Nov 1723.
