On 5/28/1839 personally appeared before Benito Fernandez, Ramond Roux resident of Kingston who, by verbal request of Louis de Corre Desgouttes also resident in Kingston, to have recorded in the registers of this church the death of Victoire Aimee de Gournay, wife of the said Mr. Desgouttes, on 11/6/1826, and presented to us a notarized deed made in Kingston and sworn before a magistrate in May 1839, as follows: Personally appeared before me Messrs. Ramond Roux and Charles Malabre, domiciled in Kingston, at the verbal request of Louis de Corre Desgouttes also resident in Kingston, and swore to the death of Victoire Aimee DeGournay wife of Desgouttes 11/6/1826, intestate, on the coffee plantation called Silver Hill, belonging to Paul Lamothe de Carrie situated in the mountains of the parish of St. George, that she was buried on the said property on 11/7/1826 in the presence of the family of the said L. de Corre Desgouttes and of some resident neighbors of the said property, due to the distance from the Parish Church of St. George and the difficulty of transportation in the mountainous routes and in the rainy season that a burial deed could not be drawn up for the witnesses at the said burial, there no longer exists other than the said C. Malabre, neighbor of the said Lamothe property and one of the signers of the current deed, who affirms that he was present at the said burial, and the other witnesses were M. M. Bernard Lasselve and Thomas Higson who died after 1826. Signed by the said persons who were summoned, in witness and to validate rights: Ramond Roux, Charles Malabre.
