Notes for Ulick Burke:

Two letters written to him by King Charles II in 1652 address him as his cousin, and still as Lord Deputy General of Ireland.

He was driven out of Ireland by the rebels in 1653, and retired to his estate in Summerhill in Kent.

Dying without male issue, certain honours became extinct: Marquess of Clanrickard, Viscount Galway, Baron of Imany in Ireland, Earl of St. Albans, Viscount Tunbridge, and Baron of Summerhill in England.

Earl of Clanrickard, Baron of Dunkellin, and Viscount Clanmorris devolved on his cousin German, Rickard Burke.
