From the MacWilliams Oughter descend the Bourkes of Bonnecrower or Bonniecrower (as some write it), in the County of Mayo, so called from a Castle they built there, of which family is Colonel John Bourke of Palmerstown near Naas in the County of Kildare, Member of Parliament for the said Barony of Naas, and one of His Majesty's Commissioners of the Revenue and Excise in this Kingdom. On page 129b it states that his first wife was Mary ÔBrien, and she was the mother of Ulick Roe. His second wife was Mamoria ÔKelly, daughter of Murlagh ÔKelly (who after his wife's death received Holy Orders and was consecrated Bishop of Clonfert in 1378, and made Archbishop ot Tuam in 1394.), by whom he had Richard, whose son John was Tanist of Clanrickard in 1522.
