Musical Director and Leader of Orchestra: H. C. Pabst

The Orchestra consists of 22 Members, including Vocalists, who pay 2s. each per month; and 8 Honorary Members.

There are at present 190 Subscribers paying 5s, per month, which entitles each to 3 Tickets. Concerts are given monthly, at the Kingston Theatre Royal.

We hail with great pleasure the existence of the above Society, as affording innocent, rational and refined enjoyment to the respectable inhabitants of this city. The gentlemen who were instrumental in calling the Philharmonic into existence, and who have hitherto so successfully managed its affairs, deserve the warmest thanks of the community.

THE KINGSTON BENEVOLENT SOCIETY

There are at present 520 members enrolled. This is an institution open to poor persons of every denomination, who may be desirous to provide for the times of sickness.
